Setting up the Pyramid Clock is simple. Follow these 4 steps:
PLUG IN: Plug a USB-C cable into the back of the clock and the other end into a USB-C power supply. The clock will need a power supply that is capable of at least 1 amp of power which most inexpensive USB-C power supplies can handle.
WAIT: When plugged in, the clock will immediately begin display a rainbow animation indicating it is starting up. If it has not been setup, it will switch to a blinking white animation to indicate it cannot connect to Wi-Fi and must be setup.
WI-FI: Once the clock is blinking white, go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile phone or computer and look for "Pyramid-Clock" in the list of available Wi-Fi networks. Connect to that network, and once connected open a web browser and go to "http://www.pyramidclock.com/connect". You should see a page prompting you to enter the network name and password of your home or office Wi-Fi. Enter that info and click Submit. You should see a page telling you that the clock is restarting. At this point you can switch your phone or computer back to your regular Wi-Fi network. When the clock restarts it will display the rainbow animation until it successfully connects to your Wi-Fi network. If it fails to connect, it will go back to blinking white and you can repeat step 3 to remedy.
TIME ZONE: Once the clock is successfully connected, it will display the time, assuming GMT time zone. In order to change the time zone on the clock, you can access the clock's web configuration page from your phone or computer web browser. You will need to know the IP address of the clock first which will have the same first 3 numbers of your phone or computer's IP address. The last number of the clock's IP address can be seen by simply touching the clock for 1-2 seconds. The time will be replaced by an 8-bit representation of last number of the clock's IP address. So if your computer's IP address is 192.168.1.20, and the clock displays 103 (in 8-bit form), then the clock's IP address is 192.168.1.103 which is the address you can enter into the web browser to access the clock's web configuration page. Once you are on the configuration page, you can set the GMT offset according to your time zone. For example GMT - 8 hours would be the offset for Pacific Standard Time zone.
